Khone Phapheng Falls is the largest waterfall by volume in Southeast Asia, located on the Mekong River in southern Laos.
It is a series of cascades and rapids that stretch over 10 kilometers along the river. It’s 21m high, and has a speed of only 11 000 cubic meter per second. Five times as fast as the Niagara Falls.
The Khone Phapheng falls are renowned for their sheer power and impressive width, especially during the rainy season when the Mekong River swells.
