We heard you have the chance to see koalas at kennet River, along the Great Ocean Road. Since we didn't see one during our road trip so far, we were eager to go to this spot and check it out. Once we arrived we noticed it's pretty popular, and busses filled with tourists stop over to catch a glimpse of the animals.
The owner of the coffeeshop told us we should get back in our van, and drive up the Grey Rover Road. We had a much bigger chance of seeing the koalas in the forest along this road. And he was right! If you wind your way up through eucalyptus-lined paths, chances are big you'll spot koalas! Definitely a highlight of the trip!
