The tombs where discovered in 1917 and date back from the Saadian Dynasty (1554-1659). On the site you can find around 60 tombs of that period including the graves of the ruler of that time and his family. The site is composed of three rooms, the most famous one being the twelve columns.
Since its discovery, the tombs have been renovated in a beautiful beaux arts design.
