Nature reserve De Plateaux-Hageven is spread out over both Belgium and The Netherlands and offers beautiful fauna and flora to discover during a relaxing hike through the area. From friendly galloways to a picturesque hanging bridge, this hidden gem can charm any type of hiker.
You can enter the reserve on both sides of the Belgian-Dutch border as various trails depart from both starting points. But if you're looking for an accessible trail that covers all the highlights of De Plateaux, I suggest to park your car in the parking lot of Bergeijk and follow the "Panoramapad" of about 7 kilometers long that we hiked as well.
Even in the Winter time this was a very nice area to discover, so I can only imagine how much more beautiful it will be during spring or summer.
