Easy hike to start your hiking holiday! Beautiful views on the Dachstein mountains and easy paths with a good chance of marmots on the way.
From the parking lot (Dachsteinruhe Parkplatz) follow the dirt road uphill to the right. After about 50 minutes you will reach the alpine meadows. On the left side is the Schaidlalm (not staffed) and on the right side the meadow where the marmots live. Continue your route to the right. A broad walking path will lead you to a small farm. There, head down to the Bachlalm. Stop for an Almdudler or beer, and then continue by walking behind the Bachlalm towards the meadows (don't follow the asphalt road). Beautiful valley view guaranteed!
