If you’re exploring the Miyako Islands, a stop at Gelato Cafe Ninufa on Ikema Island is a must! We stumbled upon this gem while searching for Heart Rock Beach, and boy, are we glad we did.
The interior of Gelato Cafe Ninufa is cozy and stylish, blending perfectly with its beachside setting. The best part? The stunning view of Heart Rock Beach right from the deck. We couldn't believe our eyes: pristine white sand, crystal-clear water, and a picture-perfect heart-shaped rock. It felt like we’d stepped into a postcard!
Now, let’s talk about the gelato. We tried several flavors, from island banana to sweet potato, but the pistachio stole the show. It was, without a doubt, the best pistachio gelato we’ve ever had. The creamy texture and rich flavor were out of this world! And if you’re into tropical flavors, you’ll love their mango and pineapple options, too. But definitely go for the pistachio!
The café also offers refreshing homemade lemonades, perfect for cooling off in the heat. We were pleasantly surprised by their homemade pizza, which was a great addition to our gelato feast.
What truly made our visit special was the staff. Despite the language barrier, they went above and beyond: offering to take our photos, guiding us to the beach, and serving us with warm smiles. Their hospitality is actually what made us write about our experience! It’s worth every bit of your time, and we promise you’ll leave with a smile and a full belly!
