Marseille is blessed with stunning nature all around. East of the city, you’ll find the impressive calanques: a national park full of hiking routes.
A must for sunrise lovers is the (very easy) hike to Belvédère de Sugiton. Park your car near building ‘D’ of the Luminy university and walk uphill towards the Belvédère for around 20-25 minutes. Use google maps to find the exact route; and then it’s easy to find!
You’ll end up on an impressive viewpoint with a Calanque on the right, and a mountain range on the left. Early birds are lucky: the first rays of sun on the mountain tops are simply stunning at this place. 🌅
