During our road trip in South Africa we took a 24h pause in the middle of our trip to relax a bit. After our domestic flight from Port Elizabeth to Durban we ended up in Ballito on KwaZulu-Natal's Dolphin Coast. The beautiful luxury boutique hotel Sala Beach House is located on cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean.
We slept in the Ocean View Suite with a large balcony with impressive views over the garden and the rolling waves. In the evening we enjoyed a delicious 3-course menu in the boho chique interior of the hotel living area.
Weaky weaky at 5.30am for a magical sunrise above the ocean, followed by an early morning yoga session with the waves as our background sound.
The locally farmed breakfast was a delight for our senses while we enjoyed our last hours in paradise. One last dip in the gorgeous pool and a walk on the beach before we checked out to start the second part of our road trip towards Pongola, eSwatini and Greater Kruger.
