If you are planning to visit Ixelles, make sure you head to Châtelain, a Brussels quartier known for design shops, hip and fanzy concept stores and Art Nouveau buildings. Last but not least, the area is packed with amazing bars and restaurants - that you can smell just wandering through the streets. One of my fav's is OLD BOY.
The restaurant looks small, but cozy, from the outside. Walking in without knowing the restaurant's reputation, you definitely wouldn't expect the bomb of food that is coming your way. They work with a 40€ menu. You can choose between meat & fish or veggie & fish . If you have special diet requests, it's so very easy to talk directly to the chef, because it's an open kitchen. The staff is beyond friendly.
Let's talk food: O MY GOD. Best asian food ever. Every dish was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. Still can't forget the Tofu Bao. Also loved their mocktail btw.
They are extremely popular, so it's best to make a reservation or put yourself on the waiting list, just in case!
