Vianden Castle, fairytale castle on a hill in Luxembourg

The Vianden Castle is the biggest castle of Luxembourg and definitely one not to miss out on on your trip to Luxembourg! The castle, which looks like it’s straight coming out of an medieval fairytale, has an extensive history (it was built on roman ruins) which you can learn more about inside in the museum. Inside the castle you can visit different rooms including a chapel, dining room, bedroom and kitchen in medieval style. The costs for entry is 10€p.p. The castle is open to visit from 10 am to 4 pm every day. (in March and October closing time is 5 pm and in the summer months 6 pm) In the summer there is also an medieval festival, ‘The Knights' Festival’, taking place at the castle, including musicians, live birds and battle demonstrations!
