We had the most incredible experience flying over Kauai, and we can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for a way to see the island from a whole new perspective, this is it. We went on a stunning hour-long flight that took us above the island’s dramatic landscapes, to say it was the highlight of our (world) trip would be an understatement.
We opted for a private flight, which turned out to be the best decision. There’s something so special about sharing this kind of adventure with just a few people. It felt intimate and personal, and we loved having the whole space to ourselves. The views were absolutely breathtaking! From the air, Kauai's incredible valleys and rugged coastline looked even more majestic than we’d imagined. We could spot so many familiar places we’d explored on the ground, and it was amazing to see how they all fit together.
One of the best parts was being able to chat with each other and point out the spots we’d visited. Seeing the island from above gave us a whole new appreciation for its beauty and scale. We particularly enjoyed flying around the Na Pali Coast: its cliffs and waterfalls are just spectacular from the sky. No wonder it’s the most photographed place in all of Hawaii ;-)
This flight was the perfect way to cap off our Kauai adventure. It’s an experience we’ve never had before, and we can’t wait to try it again. If you get the chance, definitely go for it. You won’t regret it!
