The smuggler path is a 8 km circular hike in the Montafon mountains.
Start with taking the gondola to mountain station 'Hüsli' and follow the path towards the "Antönier Joch". The hike starts fairly easy, with some great views on the valley. Soon, the road ascends and you will reach a ridge that marks the border between Austria and Switzerland. A fair part of the trail follows along this ridge, which can be quite narrow. Get ready to use both hands and feet to climb your way to the top. The descent is moderate and guides you to a mountain lake. Enjoy some more amazing views on the last kilometers: the Swiss valleys, the Austrian snowy peaks, blue lakes and small paths. An amazing hike for beginning or moderately experienced hikers.
