In my last year of studying speech therapy I did an internship in Suriname. We stayed for two months. I did my internship 'speech therapy' in a school for children with disabilities was transformative. Working closely with these incredible kids opened my eyes to their unique challenges and strengths. I learned to approach therapy with patience and creativity, tailoring my methods to each child's needs. The experience deepened my empathy and commitment to my role as a speech therapist. Witnessing the small victories and progress of my students was profoundly rewarding. It taught me the importance of resilience and adaptability in both professional and personal contexts. Overall, it changed how I view my career and life, highlighting the value of every little thing in life and be happy no matter what.
