Every morning in the summer months, you can find the local market in the streets of Les-Portes-en-Ré. The city centre is small, but this market is quite big and has a lot of nice, local products and also some creative entrepreneurs who showcase their handmade jewellery, clothes, accessories and handmade children's clothing. I loved biking to the market every morning to buy fresh fruit, bread , oysters, cheese and other local specialities. Their is a stall with lovely tapenades, you have to try the aubergine tapenade!
