One of the most beautiful villages in Germany is definitely Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It is situated on the Romantische Straße (a popular touristic route in Germany) in Bayern. With its historical and authentic streets, buildings and monuments, you are teleported back in time. We strolled through the authentic streets, enjoyed a romantic dinner on the main square and tasted the typical pastry of the region: Schneeballen.
This historical old town is also surrounded by a city wall of 4 kilometers long. You can walk on the wall to have amazing views from above, and along the way you’ll pass different information boards about the towers.
The village is not very big but there is a lot to see! We’ve spend around 6 hours in the village. You can park you car outside the city walls.
