We set off on a two-hour scooter ride from Kuta in Lombok, making our way to the hidden gem known as Pink Beach. And yes, the rumors are true – the sand on Pink Beach is genuinely pink! This phenomenon is the result of microscopic creatures known as Foraminifera, which produce a red pigment on the coral reefs.
Since it's an off-the-beaten-path destination, a bit challenging to reach, we found ourselves as the only two people there. Wonderful!
Simple shacks line the beach, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view. We took a dip in the clearest waters I've ever seen and basked in the sun 🌞
