TIS Cafe Bali: relaxation, great food, and stunning rice field views

TIS Cafe, located in the heart of Ubud, is more than just an entrance to the Mupu rice terrace. With its beautiful bamboo interior and breathtaking views of the rice fields, this restaurant offers delicious food and pools where you can relax. We were four, and our day started with securing all four sunbeds at the lower pool for our private pool day. The first highlight? Breakfast! The Big Breakfast and Avocado Toasts were delicious: fresh, hearty, and exactly what we needed. The Voodoo cocktail pitcher, later in the day of course, was a favorite for its amazing taste that had just the right kick. We hung out by the pool, laid in the nets with amazing views of the rice terraces, and did some sunbathing. It truly felt like paradise! As the day went on, we realized we hadn’t quite hit the minimum spend (400,000 IDR per person, about € 24). So we ordered more sharing dishes – and we’re so glad we did. The slow-roast Australian beef brisket sandwich was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the nachos and lumpia were perfect bites to share. For us, TIS Café was just a perfect day out. The amazing food, great cocktails, and breathtaking rice field views make it a must-visit for anyone exploring Bali. And if you’re looking to make the most of your visit, arriving early is key, especially if you want to snag a daybed by the pool. First come, first serve!
