Lake Weesen is a hidden gem in eastern Switzerland, just a short trip from Zurich! I spent a lovely afternoon there, soaking in the beautiful scenery and the charming atmosphere of this cute little village. I took the train ticket from Zurich to Weesen. It costs around 20 CHF, making it a perfect day trip! It's better to go there for a whole day but I was in Zurich for only 2 days and wanted to make the most of it! As I arrived and wandered along the lake, the clear, calm water mirrored the impressive Churfirsten mountains, creating a picture-perfect view. I literally cried when I saw this viewpoint because I'm a new lover of mountains & now, I'm addict! I want to go on mountains trips so bad. The water of the lake was so pure, calm & people was just there to enjoy a perfect afternoon by the lake. The village of Weesen itself feels like stepping into a storybook, with mountains and traditional Swiss houses. It was such a relaxing experience, gliding over the water with the stunning backdrop of green hills and mountain peaks. I went to a little beach around the lake to enjoy it also. Highly recommand! It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon, discovering the beauty and tranquility of Lake Weesen.
