The thing that stuck with us most when we were in Coron, was going on a private island hopping tour. That's why we've written down the best itinerary to maximize your fun and, more importantly, beat the crowds!
Start your day at Kayangan Lake, the crown jewel of Coron. Surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and boasting crystal-clear waters, it's the perfect place to swim, relax, and soak in the serenity for about half an hour before moving on. Next, head to Banul Beach. This pristine stretch of white sand was the highlight of our tour. By arriving here soon after Kayangan Lake, you can enjoy a blissful couple of hours with the beach almost entirely to yourself. If your tour includes lunch, having an early meal here around 11 AM adds to the private beach experience.
If you're into snorkeling, now would be the time! We're sure your tour guide knows all the hidden spots. Afterwards, make your way to Twin Lagoon. This place is the stuff of postcards, with both lagoons separated by a large rock. You can either swim under the rock or climb over it and try some cliff diving. We did both, although swimming under the rock was the more thrilling and unique experience. 😍
Conclude your tour with a freediving session at Barracuda Lake. The lake’s clear waters and the fascinating phenomenon of increasing warmth as you dive deeper make it an excellent spot for learning how to freedive. It’s the perfect end to a delightful day of island hopping. 🥹
