A truly unBELIZEable day!
Imagine snorkeling in the deep blue waters of the island of Caye Caulker in Belize. Words can hardly capture this experience; I want to shout with excitement and describe in person how unbelievably epic this adventure was!
We booked a full-day tour with Caveman. The tour began in the morning and concluded around 5 pm. Our group consisted of four people and two guides. The Caveman team organized the boat, provided the necessary equipment, and prepared our lunch and snacks for the day. Running a bit late? No worries, stress has no place on this island!
Our first stop was near the island to feed the tarpons. We picked small fish from a bucket, extended our arms over the boat's edge, and watched in awe as giant fish jumped up from the water trying to snatch the little fish from our hand. Scary but very cool!
For the other stops, we sailed a few kilometers further. We put on our goggles and snorkel and dove into the ocean. We explored a mysterious shipwreck and specific areas where wildlife congregated. We saw so countless colorful fish, beautiful coral, lobsters, and schools of manta rays and stingrays. Even a large turtle joined the party!
At one of the last stops, we swam, believe it or not, in the middel of a bunch of sharks and with a MANATEE! Two dreams came true that day!🤿
