At Wilsons Promontory National Park, Mount Oberon promises a sunset view like no other. We stayed at the Tidal River Campground, we're shuttle busses to the parking lot are available. Opting for a little more freedom, we drove ourselves. From here we started the 3.9 km hike to the top. It's a very easy one!
Reaching the summit, we were treated to a breathtaking sunset. The sunsets are something else in Australia if you'd ask me! The descent during dusk added a touch of mystery to the landscape. However, as we returned to the parking lot, it was pitch dark. A headlight proved essential for the journey back. Also, it gets very windy at the top, so don't forget to bring a sweater.
