Located within the Machalilla National Park, Playa de Los Frailes is a secluded haven where nature's beauty is on full display. There’s a 4,5km hiking trail leading to the beach, just a 15-minute taxi ride away from Puerto Lopéz. On the trail you’ll pass by panoramic viewpoints and pristine beaches:

🔹 Playita Negra Beach: black sand beach.
🔹 Tortuguita Beach: one of the most pristine beaches in Ecuador with soft sand and crystal clear water.
🔹 Mirador Las Fragatas: view of Los Frailes beach. Whales are often spotted here, so look out for them!
Once you reach Los Frailes Beach, dip your toes into the refreshing waves, snorkel among vibrant marine life, or simply relax in the sun.
