Fine dining at A Table, a hidden gem right on the Belgian-Dutch border

A Table in Axel is a charming and cozy restaurant located in the heart of Axel, a small town in the south of the Netherlands. This restaurant is known for its delicious cuisine, warm ambiance, and excellent service. The restaurant itself has a very intimate setting and cozy atmosphere. You can choose to have several courses (fixed menu), or order dishes à la carte. We went for the six course dinner and were not disappointed! Each dish was delicious, creative and made with fresh ingredients. What stood out were the amazing combinations of surprising flavors. The sea bass with puffed peppers was our favorite course, followed closely by the dessert with strawberries, rhubarb and mojito. We also had a dish with scallops and smoked eel (yummy!), one with tuna, one with asparagus and one with veal tenderloin. The chefs at A Table in Axel are highly skilled and take great care to ensure that each dish is perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff is also worth mentioning, they are friendly and attentive, making sure that every guest feels welcome and comfortable. They don’t shy away from giving funny remarks, but also leave you in peace when needed. A Table in Axel is a wonderful restaurant that offers a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic night out or a delicious meal with friends, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
