I’d heard a lot of good things about Étretat, and its cliffs are pretty iconic—you’ll see them on plenty of postcards. Instead of staying in town, I spent most of my time walking along the top of the cliffs. The views were really beautiful, especially with the mist rolling in during sunset. Worth the trip if you're into scenic coastal walks. Étretat has been a source of inspiration for many artists and writers since the 19th century, with its dramatic chalk cliffs and natural arches symbolizing the beauty of the Normandy coast. Its unique landscape has even drawn painters like Claude Monet.
