It is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California and is such a picturesque setting! If you’re coming from Yosemite and heading for Las Vegas, it is definitely worth a detour. Other than that, it is about 3 hours from LA, so if you’re looking for a fun day trip then this is the place to be! The best part is that the setting changes throughout the year, so you get to see a different scenery each time you visit. When we were here, the tops of the mountains were covered with snow. So beautiful! If you’re looking for snowy tops, it is best to visit in the winter or in the spring. This will make your pictures more epic, but even without the snow they’ll be pretty darn good! The Alabama Hills Movie Road is the perfect spot for nature lovers, photographers, and adventurers alike. It even has countless spots for camping, but make sure you’re prepared for a chilly night as temperatures tend to drop quite heavily. Also, you are allowed to drone here!
