A visit to Ars-en-Ré, one of the 'plus beaux villages de France'

Ars-en-Ré is listed as one of France's most beautiful villages.
Situated in the north of the Ile de Ré, it is indeed an idyllic place to visit. We especially loved the peace and quiet of its small streets and the white houses with their characteristic green shutters everywhere. We biked here and the market was just closing. It did seem like a very nice market. You can visit the famous carrousel here, where the owner Donin sings and creates a lot of fun for yound and old ;-). We ate a panini near the pittoresque harbour and then proceeded to the centre, where you can find the caracteristic church with its black and white tower.
